The Waldhotel Schäferberg is situated on the fringes of the forest ‘Reinhardswald’, close to the city of Kassel in the heart of Germany. Our comfortable hotel is surrounded by nature. In the "blauen Ente" (blue duck), the non-smoking restaurant in Waldhotel Schäferberg, you can discover cuisine which is down-to-earth yet creative and modern. All dishes are prepared from fresh ingredients from the region. Some ingredients, such as numerous garden herbs, we even harvest ourselves. Enjoy the combination of tradition and fine living. "Unsere grüne Soße" (our green sauce, a local speciality), just like the various duck dishes, exemplifies our traditional cuisine with a modern lightness.
